Water Fixtures

Dura-Tap Water Systems comprise a wide variety of quality laboratory fixtures and fittings that are required in today’s specialized labs. Our water systems products are produced in a ISO-9001:2000 facility in Malaysia, South East Asia and have been used in the most advanced R&D and institutional learning environments around the world. The entire product line is produced to BS-2872 standards. The solid brass pressings’ are machined to close tolerances to ensure the highest product quality, and epoxy powder coated for prevention of corrosion in wet laboratory applications. In addition to clear epoxy coating, a satin chrome plated over brass surface with clear finish will soon be provided by Dura-Tap, with the objective of concealing dust, water marks, and finger prints over traditional polished chrome surfaces.

The redesigned faucet bodies are produced in a variety of configurations with streamlined and enhanced styling. Water systems from Dura-Tap are available with fixed and removable serrated nozzles in accordance with DIN and US standards. The water fittings are tested to 10 bar (150 psi), with a design maximum working pressure of 7 bar (100 psi). This procedure allows for a testing pressure of 1.5 times the maximum working pressure for all water fittings.

In the complicated process of selecting emergency eyewash and shower equipment for schools or private sector applications, with design and ease of function as the main criterion, specifiers must select, in compliance to regulatory requirements, the proper materials. Emergency eyewash and shower units are designed to deliver water quickly and completely, to rinse contaminations such as fumes or particulates, from the user’s eye, face or body. These products are not substitutes for the safe handling of hazardous material be it on a counter top work surface or within a fume hood, but they are the first line of defense and should be considered carefully.

Dura-Tap water systems offer fairly comprehensive and advanced emergency eyewash and shower units. The products are characterized by aesthetic appeal and space saving styling.  The ADA compliant or handicapped accessible areas require minimum knee clearance and minimum location from obstruction.

Dura-Tap eyewash and shower units are made in compliance with American National Standards Institute (ANSI Z359.1). This requirement in part details that the emergency equipment should be located in an accessible area not more than 10 seconds or 30.5 meters from a hazardous location. The emergency equipment must be connected to a potable water supply, having a minimum flow pressure of 3 bar (45 psi) and maximum 5.5 bar (80 psi), with discharge water temperature at a comfortable range from 15C to 35C (60F to 95F).

All of our Dura-Tap system products out perform the typical requirements found in secondary, middle, high schools and universities, under Ministry of Education requirements and those in the private sector. OSHA Rules and Regulations, along with ANSI and other regulatory bodies require that every effort be made to protect personnel in case of accidents.

That protection now comes in the form of Dura-Tap Water Systems.
